			Varic challenges Senator Krakal, and Mua is sent out to fight again. She is quickly defeated, and Varic calls out for another challenge. More fighters are sent out, until Varic gets through all the Senators. He then challenges Governor Seiren herself, appearing before her and Ryzer in the observation booth. Varic slowly and casually breaks through the booths' protections and glass, before settling in front of Seiren. He threatens her and the planet Visiria before releasing her, turning to threaten Ryzer instead. But before Varic follows through on that threat, Raion hobbles into the room.

			Raion introduces himself to his opponent, Albedon Pegarthus, the representative fighter of Senator Pegarthus. Albedon urges Raion to remember he can give up, but the round starts before he is able to convince Raion of anything. They fight, and though Albedon lands a few hits on Raion, Raion is able to beat him. After admitting his defeat, Albedon tries to warn Raion again, but is interrupted by Governer Seiren announcing the next opponent. Albedon reveals Raion needs to beat atleast seven opponents, and though the task seems difficult, Raion believes in himself to overcome the challenge.

			Meanwhile, Ryzer and Governer Seiren watch the fight begin to air, knowing Raion had already fallen to the trap by continuing to fight.

			Raion continues to fight through the rest of the rounds. He wins each one, but sustains more and more injuries over the course of the rounds. He pulls through the seventh and final round, when Governer Seiren calls for another opponent, claiming there were others who still doubted in Raion. The rounds continue.

			On the other side of the galaxy, Varic awakens with a premonition of danger. Varic orders Horizon to contact those outside the ship (Shyrax, Omega, and Raion) while he goes to check on Mell. Mell is initially annoyed to be awakened, but quickly wakes up when she realises the danger. She starts calling Shyrax while Varic heads towards Sola. Upon questioning her, Sola begins preparing for danger. She calls Omega to check on him, but hangs up almost immediately. Horizon then manifests, having connected to Raion, and noticed he was fighting. Upon hearing the recording, Varic triggers the ship's alarm. He calls for them to go into Subspace as fast as possible to reach Raion. The other members are recalled onto the bridge, and they enter into a [[Subspace]] warp.

			Ryzer and Governor Seiren observe a bloodied and unconscious Raion on the ground, while King Felrex watches as a holographic form. Felrex praises them before leaving, and the Governor comforts a quiet Ryzer, preparing him for an interview. Governor Seiren notes that ''The Last Horizon'' had entered the system, and Raion is taken to medical moments before Varic manifests nearby. Though Varic acts mildly while the Governor talks to him, Ryzer starts to feel intimidated by him. Varic apologizes for the troubles Raion has caused, and says he will compensate for him once he sees the footage. The Governor plans to give him the edited footage, but Varic has already obtained the full copy through his own means. He watches the footage in silence, while the Governor tries to justify the situation. Over the tense silence, storm clouds begin to roll above them, and the Governor finally calls the challenge over and to continue the discussion inside. Varic instead declares the challenge must continue, as he is also a member of the ''The Last Horizon'' and could pick up where Raion left off. He challenges the first Senator, and after some provoking, Albedon Pegarthus accepts his challenge. The Governor and Ryzer head back to the observation room to watch the fight. Immediately after the round begins, Albedon is defeated by a laser of water. As Albedon is carried off for treatment, Varic keeps his gaze on the observation room, and challenges the next Senator.

Seiren proposes that he could fight the representatives of the Senators in the Arena to earn that trust. Horizon begins to cry and argue with Edict when Sola is tempted. Varic then states it's Omega's turn, and Edict immediately changes her mind and demands Omega instead. 			The crew emerges at the Karoshan ships, where a civil war is occurring. Horizon contacts Shyrax, who informs them that some ships had been taken over. Horizon telepors her on board, and Varic pairs up the crew to board the enemy ships themselves.
